Types of Work Visas

General Employment Visa: Requires a valid job offer in Germany.

EU Blue Card: For highly skilled professionals with a university degree and a minimum salary requirement of €58,400 annually (€45,552 for shortage occupations like IT, engineering, and healthcare).

Job Seeker Visa: Allows highly qualified individuals to stay in Germany for up to 6 months to search for employment.

Requirements

Valid Passport: At least six months validity beyond your intended stay.

Employment Contract or Job Offer: Must specify job role, salary, and working hours.

Recognized Qualifications: Your degree or professional qualifications must be equivalent to German standards.

Financial Stability Proof: Evidence of sufficient funds, such as bank statements, unless the job contract specifies salary coverage from the start.

Health Insurance: Proof of valid insurance coverage in Germany.

Visa Application Form: Complete and signed.

Biometric Passport Photos.

Visa Fee: €75 for the long-term work visa.

Schedule an Appointment: Book your appointment at the German Embassy in Dhaka through the official website.

Attend Interview: Submit all required documents and answer questions about your qualifications, job offer, and financial stability.

Visa Processing: Processing time can take 4–12 weeks depending on individual circumstances.

Additional Notes

If applying for a Job Seeker Visa, you must show proof of funds to support your stay (around €853/month) and recognized academic qualifications.                                                                   All documents should be submitted with photocopies and translated into German (if required).
