Requirements for the Romania Work Visa

To obtain the visa, you generally need the following:

General Documents:

Valid Passport

Must be valid for at least 3-6 months beyond your intended stay.

Must have at least 2 blank pages.

Completed Visa Application Form

This form is available on the website of the Romanian consulate/embassy.

Work Permit (Authorization for Employment)

Issued by the General Inspectorate for Immigration in Romania.

Employment Contract

Health Insurance

Police Clearance Certificate

Issued by the Bangladeshi authorities, confirming you have no criminal record.

Secure employment with a Romanian company willing to sponsor your work permit.

Employer Applies for Work Permit

Your employer in Romania applies for the work permit (Authorization for Employment) from the General Inspectorate for Immigration.

Gather Required Documents

Collect all the necessary documents listed above.

Submit Visa Application

Apply for the visa at the Romanian Embassy or Consulate in Bangladesh (or the nearest location handling Romanian visas).

Attend Interview (if required)

You may be asked to attend an interview and provide additional documents.

Wait for Processing

Processing time is typically 10-60 days, depending on the embassy workload.

Travel to Romania

Once approved, you can travel to Romania and begin your employment.


Work Permit Validity and Residence Permit

Initially, the work permit and visa are valid for up to 90 days.

Once you arrive in Romania, you must apply for a residence permit to continue working legally.
This is done at the Romanian General Inspectorate for Immigration within 30 days of your arrival.


Additional Notes

Employers must demonstrate they cannot find a suitable candidate within the EU/EEA before hiring a Bangladeshi citizen.
